IC 4128 (= PGC 1620290)
Discovered (Jan 27, 1904) by
Max Wolf
A magnitude 15.6 spiral galaxy (type Sa(rs)?) in Coma Berenices (RA 13 03 41.3, Dec +20 12 59)
Per Dreyer, IC 4128 (= Wolf list VI #176, 1860 RA 12 56 50, NPD 69 01.9) is "faint, small, brighter middle, spiral". The position precesses to RA 13 03 42.0, Dec +20 12 56, on the eastern edge of the galaxy listed above, so the identity is certain. The only question is whether the much fainter galaxies to its north might have significantly contributed to the image on Wolf's plate; but if they had his measured position would probably have been further northeast, so the IC entry probably applies only to the brightest object. Apparent size 0.45 by 0.2 arcmin. A starburst galaxy?
