IC 900 (= PGC 47855)
Discovered (May 14, 1892) by
Stephane Javelle (247)
A 14th-magnitude barred spiral galaxy (type SAB(s)bc) in Virgo (RA 13 34 43, +09 20 13)

Based on recessional velocity of 7070 km/sec, about 315 million light years away, in good agreement with redshift-independent distance estimates of 260 to 340 million light years. Given that and apparent size of 1.6 by 1.0 arcmins, about 150 thousand light years in diameter.
