Apparent size of 0.7 by 0.2 arcmin. (Accompanied by APMUKS(BJ) B215549.35-032152.8, a 16th-magnitude spiral galaxy (type S pec) at RA 21 58 25.3, Dec -03 07 29. The brighter galaxy must be Javelle's object, as the other is considerably fainter and has a much lower surface brightness. The recessional velocity of the fainter galaxy is apparently unknown, so whether the pair is anything other than an optical double is equally unknown.)
