PGC 15455
(= ESO 202-035)

A magnitude 12.4 spiral galaxy (type SA(s)c sp) in
Dorado (RA 04 32 16.4, Dec -49 40 33)
Physical Information: Based on a recessional velocity relative to the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation of 1875 km/sec (and H0 = 70 km/sec/Mpc), PGC 15455 is about 85 to 90 million light-years away, in good agreement with redshift-independent distance estimates of about 65 to 95 million light-years. Given that and its apparent size of about ? arcmin (from the images below), the galaxy is about ? thousand light-years across. *The previous sentence cannot be finished until I find better images (if available), or process the available images to improve their quality.*
NED 2.6 x 0.4 arcmin
Note About Classification: The type is taken from the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies. "sp" means that the galaxy is a "spindle" (that is, seen "edge-on"), making its classification more difficult than usual.
