Arp 33)
A 15th-(B)magnitude barred spiral galaxy (type SBc) in Virgo (RA 13 37 24, Dec +06 26 12)
An S- or Integral-sign shaped spiral galaxy, hence its use as an example in Arp's Atlas. Based on recessional velocity of 7175 km/sec, about 320 million light years away. Given that and apparent size of 1.8 by 0.4 arcmin, about 170 thousand light years across.
