A magnitude 13.8 spiral galaxy (type Sd sp / E(d)8) in Grus (RA 22 48 33.9, Dec -39 38 56)
Note About Classification: The type is taken from the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies. The "sp" stands for "spindle" (that is, an "edge-on" galaxy), which makes determining the classification more difficult. "/ E(d)8" means that there is an elliptically shaped disklike outer region enveloping the central galaxy; but "true" ellipticals rarely exceed E4 to E5, and in any case, the presence of the outer region does not change the fact that the galaxy is a spiral.

A 15th-magnitude spiral galaxy (type SABab? pec) in Aquarius (RA 22 54 08.9, Dec -15 14 15)
Apparent size about 0.8 by 0.6 arcmin. Used in the Arp Atlas as an example of an elliptical galaxy (PGC 913872, which see for images) repelling a spiral galaxy's arms.
